Lion Hearted Lamb
Many people know of Jesus as a babe in a manger or as the gentle and kind teacher who walked on earth 2,000 years ago. He is all of that and more.
And Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the firstborn of the dead (first to be brought back to life) and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him who ever loves us and has once (for all) loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood. Revelation 1:5 (Amp)
Here we see that He is the lamb of God who was slain for our redemption, but in Rev. 5:5 we also see that He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and from the Root (source) of David who was a conquering warrior. Jesus is a conquering warrior who even now contends for us in the heavenly realm.
Rev. 19
In this chapter Jesus is the bridegroom (husband) for His church (followers), but also He is the one who will bring judgement upon the earth and justice to those who continue in rebellion against God.
Scripture tells us that the "wages of sin is death" but that Jesus provided a way through His death on the cross to be made right with God, by receiving the free gift of salvation. We were however, given free will and can choose which way we will walk. God does not force Himself on us, we must choose to follow Him and His ways.
