Christ Overcomes

     This painting began with a strong feeling that I was to paint the 4 horseman of the apocalypse, which I saw no reason to paint another version of the same concept that is described in Revelation. The news is full of things pointing to this prophecy and many are talking about it. Many people are depressed and frightened by much of the news, so I fought painting it without a good reason to do it. One day the Lord spoke to me in my spirit and said "Paint the solution to the problems". Then I envisioned "Christ Overcomes" with Christ the King as the main feature among the devastating apocalyptic things in Revelation that seem to be building strongly in the world. I became excited as the Lord kept leading me to the meaning of the many signs that are in place now that needed to be in the painting. You can read more in the 7 blogs written about this painting. The painting isn't meant to highlight the problems we face, but the one who overcame death and the grave 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ the King.
